Wilfred Scawen Blunt was an English author and explorer. He was born in Sussex, and served in the diplomatic corps in Europe and South America. He retired in 1872, married Anne Isabella Noel, Lord Byron's granddaughter, and they travelled through Europe and the Middle East, and went into partnership breeding Arabian horses.
